How to check and kick off a user from a remote Server

Just for Information sharing to those never know about this. For those ppl already knew about this…please skip this boring 1!

How to check who logging to a Server?
1. Goto Command Prompt.
2. Key-in qwinsta /server:server_name

Example:
C:\>qwinsta /server:websvr
SESSIONNAME USERNAME ID STATE TYPE DEVICE
0 Disc rdpwd
rdp-tcp 65536 Listen rdpwd
console 2 Conn wdcon
rdp-tcp#16 Mun_Fei_Cheah 1 Active rdpwd

Simple right?

How to kick off a user from a Server?
1. First, go and check who logging to that server.
2. Look at “ID” column of that user you gonna kick off.
3. Key-in rwinsta /server:server_name id

Example:
C:\>rwinsta /server:websvr 1


Here is the Error Message that will pop-up at user side once they been kicked off from server.

Done!
