Just two years after the two clubs played out the greatest ever Champions League final in Istanbul, they will meet again in Athens on May 23 in a bid to land European football’s top prize.

After 90 mins and extra time it was 1-1 on aggregate and the Reds won in penalties after two Reina saves.

AC Milan vs Manchester United(Agg. 5-3) (Champions League semi-final second-leg, May 2, 2007)
Milan took the lead with a classy finish into the corner from Kaka after a fine flick from Seedorf. Clarence Seedorf made it 2-0 with a great strike into the corner. With just over ten minutes remaining Gilardino had the freedom of the San Siro to bag the third.

Liverpool got to yet another Champions League final. We will see in Athens whether they’ll be able to repeat the Istanbul success.
