What’s your experience when using Ms Office 2007? Slow launch office applications? Outlook hung and slow when loading few hundreds MB from Exchange Server?

I having a lot problem after Installed Ms Office 2007. When I trying to open a Word documents, it took me more than a minute and same goes to Excel. When I came into shift for the beginning of the week to load all the emails, It took ages to load it and sometimes it makes whole system hung.

After I used it for a week, I decided to upgrade back to 2003 due to performance issue. After uninstall Office 2007 and install MS Office 2003, I have an error message when I launched Microsoft Outlook.

Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is
corrupt or the wrong version. This could have
been caused by installing other messaging system.
Please reinstall Outlook.

Rename C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\MSMAPI32.dll to some other name like MSMAPI32.dll.bak

Reinstall Office 2003, and Outlook 2003 should work perfectly.

Solutions to open Office 2007 files formats:

1. Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

2. Download Microsoft Office 2007 Portable version (Faster and no installation needed)
