How to do it? Get some incense sticks/Joss sticks, lighter, off camera flash or spot light, camera, dark blackground, tripods and urself of coz.
I have spent about 15 minutes for Setup and shoot for 30 minutes++. The whole room end up with indian incense stick smell because I’m using the incense sticks used by Indian…lol. Have to let the air purifier run for whole day to get rid of the smell….after few days, I still can smell it…damn!

problem with Indian stuffs, whether incense or natural oil perfume, is that the scent lasts almost forever; i broke 2 small vials of Indian perfume I brought back from Delhi about 2 years ago, and my house still smell of the perfume till now.
be prepared to live with the smell for a little longer.
nice shots, though.
haha…i planned to throw that away and get those chinese joss stick instead…that room really smelly now!
you can try dropping ink into a clear tank of water, the same technique applies… but odourless.
